Centre Console/Main Dash Rattle

Can anybody help with curing this without a trip to the dealers (just prefer to fix it myself) :

I have an annoying rattle/creak coming from (I think) the point where the radio unit meets the bottom of the speedo section of the dash. Forcing my fingers between the two definately helps but doesn't cure it completely.

Awkwardly the noise gradually reduces as the car warms up, so much so that by the time I could drive to my local dealers (15 miles) it'll almost have shut up completely.

You might think that this would be easy to live with but since I do quite a few short journeys I am stuck with the noise most of the time.

Try tightening or loosening the torx bolts that hold on the down tubes at either side of the radio etc.
