Angry stuttering and warning lamps

has anyone else had this problem?

while i was driving yesterday, my cvt cooper started to stutter like crazy and it felt like it was going to stall. then three warning lamps came on. not knowing what the lights meant, i quickly pulled over to look in my manual. the lights were the asc traction (indicating defect), "service engine soon", and the "EML" (engine electronics malfunction). i turned off the ignition and restarted the car and two lights went out but the "service engine soon" light stayed on. i'll be taking it to the dealer soon.

my car was recalled maybe two months ago for a transmission fluid change and i had the software update installed then (don't exactly know which version) for the low idling and stalling problem. the update seemed to help a bit up until recently when the car has often felt like it would stall.

these problems are driving me crazy and i don't feel safe driving the car. it's frustrating to have all these problems on a 5-month old car, with the first stalling incident occuring just one week after i got it!

there is a thread for this problem but i dont know the name for it.as for the problem you are having, its the the wire harness, throttle body or the programing of the engine.i have at least replaced 10 engine harnesses and 20 throttle bodys.this should be enough info for you to go back to your dealer and tell them you have heard others are having this problem and the fix should be the engine harness, throttle body, and the latest software for your engine..

let's motor
