Have you successfully had this problem repaired by MINI?

Arn't they 2 different lights ????
I've had the dcs light come on, but I know why that happened
And I've had the tyre alert light come on (had a puncture) but I voted no as they've not come on for no apparent reason (please let it stay that way )

It happened to me the other week, so I searched in MINI2 and low and behold found the fix. If it does happen again, I will however get my dealer to look at it.

MICKEY the DSC light and tire presure light come on both together for no apparent reason. DSC/ASC+T does stop working too

MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime

This happened to me and the DSC light stayed on. Couldn't sus out why. I had a look in the owners manual and it said that the tyre pressure light comes on after 'enthusiastic' driving

The next morning i drive off to work as normal (albeit with the start..drive...stutter problem ) and the light cleared itself and all was back to normal. Just one of those things i guess. Thinking about it though....if front tyres get a thrashing then tyre pressures will rise. Fronts will get hotter than rears and thus cause in-balance. Maybe this will fool the system into thinking it has a flat somewhere?? Suggestions anyone else???

Cheers

The fix you are talking about is the reset button beneath the parking brake.

I dont really regard this as a fix. It's more of a work around solution.

I's like when Window's locks up on your PC. Yes, you can fix it by rebooting the system. But the lock up will eventually happen again, until the root cause is corrected.

Im looking for the root cause. And trying to prove this is a common problem which rates BMW attenion.

This appears to be a Cooper S problem - please correct me if I am wrong.

I have DSC on my Cooper and haven't had this problem - touch wood...
