| acoustic ignition key warning on/off The users manual says that the warning chime, if the key is left in the ignition when the door is open, can be turned on/off. The tech that looked at my car printed out all the "memory" setting that can be configured and this was NOT one of them. He didn't know of any other way to turn chimes off. Maybe it is done in a different manner than all the other "memory" settings. Anybody ever had this turned off? In BMW's you leave the key in, open the door (chime starts) but then pull the key out and stick it back in and the chime stops, but in MINIs the chime will start again. The reason i want to do this is because I want to be able to have the ignition switched to the accessory position but have the door open with no chime. |
