Last week I changed both rear brake pipes as well as the rear flexi's as they were an advisory at it's last MOT.
I removed pipe from the join just by the front subframe & blanked off so as not to lose all the fluid.
Fitted new pipes & flexi's, I have bleed manually, used a pressure bleeder took it for a spin on the grass to activate abs & bleed again but still can't get a proper pedal. I've ran through almost 4l of fluid also I've also bleed the fronts to make sure it wasn't them & at no point did the master run dry or level drop below minimum.
I also tried a friends Delphi diagnostics but this won't bleed the ABS pump so I'm wondering what inpa disc & lead to get so I can try that?
I however saw a few threads on early R50's having an issue with the master cylinder so this is playing in the back of my mind was there a fix for this i.e revised part number or fit one from a ??
The symptoms are pedal easily pressed 1st 50% of travel then you feel the pressure but if you hold the pedal it just drops all the way to the floor (engine running).
With engine off once air is gone from servo pedal is rock solid at about half way.
Any help info or pointer appreciated especially on inpa or the possible master issues.
I've changed many a brake pipe & never had an issue this is the first I have failed to get a pedal back.
