Drivers Side Door Ellipse Buzz

I searched this forum and have yet to find a definitive fix other that have the dealer take a shot at it. Here is my issue: When driving on rough roads or in low gear there is a buzz coming from the ellipse on the drivers side door -- not a real loud buzz, but just enough to **** me off. I know it's the ellipse because when I lightly place my elbow on it, the buzzing stops. Have tried squeezing folded up electrical tape in between the adjoining parts where I think the plastic-to-plastic noise is coming from but am still getting the buzz. My dealer is 250 miles from me. Anyone have much luck in eliminating the buzz themselves?
THE CONSTANT BUZZ IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!!

I've only noticed the buzz one time, when driving on a very rough road. But I can produce the same sound by tapping on the door panel.

Let us know how the "fix" turns out.

Mine (both doors) buzzed like crazy almost all the time. My noise seemed to be up near the top corner of the door by the reflector. Now fixed.

It's detailed in there. It's a doddle to do or if you want your dealer to fix it show him that thread so they know what to do. My dealer had 2 goes at fixing it on mine without success.

Both my doors are buzzing and I asked my dealer twice to look into it and they are still buzzing. I am the one starting a "BUZZ" now!!!

I will give it a try myself

I pulled the door panel and applied adhesive-backed felt to every conceivable part of the panel. Went out for a test drive and the buzz is gone! Let's hope it stays that way. It was quite an easy job. About 1.5 hrs from removal to replacement and $10 of material. Thanks for all the assistance!

I am sadly reporting that after trying the posted fix to the door buzz issue, it is back. BTW, the passenger side is now buzzing. KenL, if your fix is different from the one I tried, please post. Note: I also tried squirting lubricant between the bezel joints to see if that was the issue -- it's not. Thanks in advance.

I used Velcro tape on the clips and electrical tape along the top where the metal clips are. The buzz came back on my passenger door at the weekend so I opened up the door again and added a few bits of velcro tape around the threaded bits where the screws go through. I also wrapped electrical tape around the rod that becomes the door lock button. Seems that that maybe able to vibrate.

My first trip was on my way to work this morning and it was quiet again. My drivers door was the first one I did 2/3 weeks ago and it has been silent ever since - fingers crossed !

AHA!!!! It's the lock rod! I taped up as KenL describes and the @#%$ buzz is gone from the drivers side! I also put electrical tape on the female receptacles of the door panel pins. Now I'm set to do the passengers side. Thanks KenL! Fingers are now crossed as well.....

Drove about 30 miles since my last post and it's still gone so lets hope it's gone for good.

I can now get that door panel off like a race car pit mechanic removing wheels !!!
