R53 Driving Poor - Rough at low revs

Hi,
Hopefully you can help. I have a 02 Cooper S with 117K miles on the clock. The past 4 weeks the car has stuttered in low revs until hitting 3000 revs but can later struggle at high speed.
I have changed the ignition coil and only changed the plugs over 2 months ago but still issues.
Noted that the back of the car is covered with particles of soot from the exhaust (lots of hit). I have since added an additive also into the fuel to give it a good internal clean. Is it worth changing anything else or pop to the garage to see if there are any codes? Thanks in advance

When did you last give it a full service?

I just did a basic service (Not Full)
Usually use Minimatt in Telford but only did 5K last year so just changed plugs, oil, air filter, oil filter myself. That was just over 2 months ago.
Looks like a full service is needed then. Thanks for your quick response.
