Unhappy Logo on Steering Wheel!

Hi All,

I wondered if anyone could help?
The silver paint on the surround around the mini logo on my steering wheel seems to be coming off.
I think originally it may have been my bracelet that could have scratched the paint but it has got a lot worse. Surely it should have been more robust than this anyway?

Does anyone know of any ideas to make it look better or even whether i can replace it??
My mini is my pride any joy so you can imagine how sad it is making me having to see this every time i get into it!

Thanks in advance.

Kel

Sorry to hear that, Kel.

I'm not certain, but I'd guess that since that whole inner/round MINI logo and outer ring is separate from the rest of the steering wheel assembly, that there is a specific part number for it, and thus, you could have it replaced without much of a hassel.

Ring-up your dealer for a quick chat, - I bet it'll ease your mind quickly.

Good luck.

The badge can be replaced. My dealer marked mine and I had them replace it for me.

That paint is VERY soft and it is so easy to damage it.

Beware! the plastic center (logo) can be replaced and doesn't cost much. The outer 'silver' ring is part of the wheel air-bag, and cost alot to replace. Check it out with your dealer, he may do it under warranty, if you can convince him its poor quality. Don't mention the braclet.
