faulty climate control

Anyone experiencing problems with their auto climate control? I live in a very hot tropical country. Lately, my air-con has failed to emit "cool" air (seems like an on-off affair). The fan is running fine, but it's all hot air - the coolant is not kicking in. I've checked the coolant level and it's slightly above the Max mark. I've had this same problem almost 6 months ago, but just when i wanted to send it in for servicing, everything went back to normal! Now, 6 months on, it's back! Frustrating.

The coolant level has nothing to do with the a/c.

a/c has it's own separate refrigerant R134 etc. Either you have a fault with the sensors or your system needs regassing at your MINI dealer.

Thanks for the knowledge Not much of a tech person... thought coolant is the same as air-con gas..duh. I'll probably get it sent in. Funny thing is this morning, the gas kicked in ten minutes into the journey.
