Valve Cover Gasket Anyone?

Prior to Randy doing the pulley install a few weeks back, he noticed some oil on the underside of my engine. I brougt it to my dealer's attention immediatley and after inspecting it, they said that it was the valve cover gasket.

Well, I just had it replaced yesterday, and I will be checking it quite often for further leakage. Curious to know if any others have experieced the same. BTW, a search on "valve cover gasket" came up empty, so I did try

Thanks guys!

I am taking my 2003 MCS in for a look Friday, 8/15/03. I spotted a couple of drops on the garage floor and have been monitoring. I got underneath twice and wiped everything down. The oil doesn't appear to be from up top and it's more of a seep than a leak. I called MINI NW and they have had to do repair on two front main gaskets. So, in I go to have that confirmed and the part ordered to fix the problem. The good news is that where he felt the problem might be, is where I already thought that the oil is coming from.

FWIW, post gasket, no oil on the underside. It's been only a few days though... But then, I saw oil after a day before (after cleaning her up), so I'm guessing that resolved this issue...
