| 3rd gear syncro Is the third gear syncro a known problem? I have 3,500 miles on my MCS and the upshift from second to third feels really strange. All the other upshifts go into the next gear quite easily, but third seems to resist. I didn't notice this on the car until about a week ago either. Any ideas? Just so you know, I do not abuse the gear box. No power shifting, and when downshifting more than 1 gear (ie 6 to 4) I double clutch. I really don't downshift that much at all really. -Andrew  |

| Not sure if it is a known issue, but I have the same problem with third. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd it sometimes seems reluctant to go into 3rd gear. It seems OK going from 4th to 3rd though. My car has 10000 miles on it and I first noticed it about 2000 miles ago. Didn't think anything of it at the time.  |
