Unhappy Upper Windscreen/Roof seal/trim loose

Not really that much of a whinge because I know I'll get this sorted out by my dealer......but has anyone else experienced this problem?

The top seal/trim/strip of plastic (between the windscreen and roof) is very loose fitting and half of the trim actually came out and was flapping and banging against my roof on Saturday. I was tearing down a dual carriage way at the time, so it scard the hell out of me when I heard the knocking. I don't know if it has scratched the roof yet - not had chance to inspect it properly.

Anyone had a similair problem?
Rather surprising on a car not yet a week old!

One of the more common problems this, more so on earlier MINIs.

A search of faults and fixes for winds* rubber will bring you plenty of past experiences/posts.

Our MINI One had it too.

Thanks.
Shouldn't happen on a September 2003 built MINI though, surely!

There are alot of threads on this topic, going right back to the first cars off the production lines. I can't believe it hasn't been sorted by now.
At the factory robots fit the windscreens. The screens on some cars are fitted too low. This means that the gap between the top of the windscreen and the roof is too wide. Therefore at speed the trim is pulled out, by the air flow.
The official fix is to have the windscreen re-fitted higher up and a new trim put into place. Your dealer should do this.

And MINI UK, get your finger out and fix this long standing fault. Trim failing off does not give a good impression of the car.
