Windscreen trim loose

It's a brilliant little car and we're having great fun with it, but we were disappointed to find the trim across the top of the windscreen has come loose after a week.

Dealer reckons the screen may have to come out to fix it. They say they've had a few like this and it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyone had bother with leaks after having the windscreen disturbed or replaced?

Cheers

It's one of the more common problems, shouldn't be hard for them to fix it. We had it too on our MINI One.

A search of faults and fixes for winds* rubber should bring you most previous posts on the subject to look at and learn from.

Here's one for starters: http://www.mini2.com/forum/first-generation-faults-fixes/28843-loose-windscreen-seal.html

Ive got it too, mine came off after only 40 miles. Another trim bit comes loose now: the black strip that devides the two side windows (on passenger side). And my MINI logo on the bonnet is letting loose as well. Me thinks they ran out of glue in the factory or so
All will be fixed on monday. Indeed the window screen will be taken off and be refitted to fix the rubber seal and keep it in place.
