hi, i have a 2002 mini with cvt transmission . i bought it damaged and then repaired it . now that it is finished i can not get it to shift properly. the dash reads "EP" .
in the owners manual it says "if there is a malfunction in the transmission system , EP appears in the display." but it doesnt say why or what to do.
also, i have a mini code scanner and it is reading a P1742 which codes for "clutch solenoid short circuit".
any help would be greatly appreciated since i have no warranty and my nearest dealer is hours away.
