Unhappy Dashboard lights...

Hi all!!
I've got a strange problem on my MCS: the dashboard lights don't turn off even if I turn off my headlights. I noticed this fault tonight, when I got back home.
Any ideas on what could it be? What kind of fix?

Thanks very much, bye bye!

Do you turn your side lights off too

Do you have day running lights? Don't know if they are linked to the dash illumination ...

Do the dash lights turn off when you take the key out?

Sounds like the BCU got a bit screwed. Try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes to drain the BCU memory the reconnect the batt. See if it's still doing it.

Mind you if the dash illumination is staying on, the batt might have drained anyway.

Our home microwave has a slightly similar problem ... sometimes the turntable does not turn any more. Disconnect power for a little time, then everything is fine again. Strange ...

Glad to be of service. Any reputation will be gladly received

The BCU does have a bit of a habit of getting it's knickers in a twist. If you have any strange electronic problem. this is always the first thing to try.
