Question When stationary at lights, traffic etc I can hear knocking/tapping every few seconds

It sounds like its coming from all over the place. As if someone was tapping on the exterior. I did search for noises on here but it they were more like it was from the same area.
Are these noises normal or should I take it back to dealers to investigate?

Exhaust cooling and on occasions I think there's a pump to keep the gas even in the saddle tanks.
Mines done it over a year and a half and it's fine.
Hopefuly some of the more tech savvy members will know.

My 2003 MC did that bonking sound when stopped at a light but my 2004 MC does not. I didn't even notice until I read this thread. Hmmm?
