Air Bag Light

Hello,

How do I reset the Computers Air Bag blown off light alarm ? I had the Drivers Side Air Bag blown, I put the Resistor (3.9 ohm) Trick in the Yellow Connector, but the light won't go off, how do I reset the CPU to turn off the light without sending it to the Dealer ? .

Mandi.

You will have to have a fault code clear on the system and then reset the ecu so the fault has gone.

I had the same problem but it only hat a dealer can do.

I have ad lots of trouble with my air bag light

No, I did not install a new Air Bag, it is too Expensive, USD $!,200.00, Crazy , isn0t it ? I just have the ripped off leather sewed back. I installed the resistor but the light is still on. And the best part of all this anoyance is that MINI Dealer did not changed it in warranty, it was blow off in a run-oer-a-bump, crazy isn't it ?

Mandi, I am dealing the same situation, my drivers side airbag blew off. And I was quoted here in Greece from my dealer, who so far refuses warranty, 737euro for a new back of the seat, leather lapis blue, (it’s kind of hard to believe that you have to change it) and 150euro for the air bag. Didn’t they tell that you need to change your back?
