HELP. Problem with my JCW MCS!

Dropped my car in for a service the other day (second service). Got a phone call saying that they had to change a breather pipe (think oil) because it had split - fine. Picked the car up Friday and straight away felt a distinct lack of low down torque and power. They are going to take it back tomorrow and have a look.

My main concern is that i looked through the service manual and it says a diagnostic check! I was wondering whether they had re-programmed the ECU with latest software for an s, and not realised that is a JCW S.

Anyone experienced this sort of problem before?

Many thanks
Chris

Well knowing MINI that is probably what they have done, i mean it has taken them 3 goes to sort a rattle from my door when i have my HK on, and they still haven't fixed it!
One guy there even had the cheek to say it didn't have a rattle when the stereo is on, and that he had to take my car out, dont remember agreeing to that! And they still didn't fix it!

Let us know what they say, would be intrested to see if they say that everything is fine, but when you get back in the car everything feels like it should, and they are covering up another stupid mistake!

That's my worry, that they will say that nothing is wrong!

Will take it to John Cooper if they can't find anything wrong - will then send BMW the bill!

Well if they do say that nothing is wrong, and you still feel like the car sin't right, then i would if you can take it to John Cooper, explain what has happened and i am sure they will help you out!!

Ocean Plymouth!

Who are you with?

Most of the time these guys are great there, the sales team are really good. But i find the service bit abit rushed, like they have almost to many cars on there hands and can't spend enougth time on them, like a simple rattle. Also they didn't stamp my book when it had it's first service, so i had to another 50 miles round trip. It is just always silly litle things that let it down i feel!!

What i will say is, is dont let the dealership get away with this if they are in the wrong, as it shouldn't have happened in the first place. You have now got to make another journey there, and be without your car for a while again!

But please let us know how it turns out!

Whitehouse. Usually deal with Ruxley, but the service was carried out at Keston in Bromley as my friend is the BMW Sales manager there! - should help a little.

Sales at Ruxley were unfaultable, but the service dept are useless.

Will keep you informed

Cheers
Chris
