United-Kingdom Seat belt light

A question for the wise mini owners.

Today i have installed a sub and amp. I unbolted the seat belts from the car floor so that i could put the cables under the side panels easier. However now the seat belt light never turns off now, and is always on. Can anyone help me please?

Many thanks in advance

Marc.

Starnge!

I did exactly the same as you and don't think the problems are related. The seatbelt light seems only to be on a time delay and usually goes off, regardless of whether the belt is fastened or not, in a few seconds.

A long shot but there are two connectors under the seats. Have a look to see if they are still plugged in OK.

Ever since I have had my car the seat belt light does not come on if I do not have the belt on (reverse parking/moving car out of garage etc)

Is this normal?
