| 3rd gear vibration!! please help! Ive got a 9 month old mini cooper s and the car has developed a problem in third gear when i accelerate, the gearstick shakes like mad. All the other gears are fine, my first trip to the dealer resulted in unknowing shrugs !! ive looked through the other threads and some others have had a similiar problem but there has been no distinct cause or diagnosis. Im taking the car in on friday to the dealer and would like some info to get their arses in gear!! I really would appreciate any help. TA  |

| I got the same problem. I think its related to the gear shift cable transfering engine vibrations in the stick mechanism. Did you go to the dealer? What did he do? Amateur built the Ark, professionals built the Titanic |
