I know this is gonna make me sound like a complete gimp but I've booked the car in tommorrow to have one of the driver vanity-mirror-lights looked at. When I lift up the sun visor only one light comes on, although both did when I collected the car on March 1st.
It did flicker a bit last week and I think there may be a loose connection, rather than the bulb going - but you never know?
Was away on stag-weekend duties at the weekend so my wife had a her most extensive MINI stint yet. Her comments... absolutely loved it's sharper handling (than her superb 01 Toyota Celica) and better gearchange, driving position and high fun-factor but could do with more torque and being a little punchier in the mid-range. She's only had her licence 12 months!!!!
You're not a wimp, mine was in the garage yesterday for exactly the same thing!....oh and cross wired seat heater switches.
It needs a totally new sun blind fitted, mine's getting a new one fitted on Saturday. It's a fix while you wait job, hopefully though the dealer with have the S specs and prices in so I;ll problably spend the whole day there
I'm getting the "Interior light package", which includes those lit mirrors. More than it's practicality, I just love the fact that it lights up when you open it...... I would certainly try and get it fixed if I had the same problem........ Hopefully it's the bulb.
The bulb has "gone" in one side of my sun visor mirror. Is it possible to obtain a spare bulb and change it myself.
I have removed the 2 rubber bungs (and subsequently lost one) but the whole fitting does not seem to budge.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the replies, I gave it a firm thump just in case it was a loose connection as you all suggested, and HEY PRESTO it works. As a bonus I even found the missing rubber bung which was a miracle as they are so tiny.
