Too much Paint Stick - Please Help!

Help please, I tried to cover up a slight scratch on my yellow MC, and put far too much on and on too big an area. Now it looks like someone has dripped paint on the bodywork! Not sure what to do, I have contacted Chips Away for a quote for the repair and may ask my dealer what to do... but is there anything I can do in the meantime to get my car looking good again ? thanks...

Well you should have wiped it off when it was wet. I'm assuming it's a bit late for that.

Honestly it sounds like you might not want to try to fix this yourself.

I ordered some of that langka stuff and it is great for removing blobs of paint when touching up chips.

I think I just ran a search for it on the web and ordered it from some paint suppliers.

Does this Langka stuff work on dried paint or wet paint only ?

It does say in the instructions that it can work with dried paint but it may take longer with more rubbing.

Won't T-cut do the job? Paint from a paint stick is usually pretty soft compared to the
original or a respray that needs baking and I assume as you saw you put too much on
you didn't clearcoat it.

Had a quote from Chips Away for £148 inc vat. Not sure if this is a reasonable quote. Anyone used them before and are they worth the money ?

hiya michelle,

is this blod a result of a touch up on a scratch?

if so i reckon you best bet is to use t-cut, ever so gently, dont go over board, just rubit and check it , and rub it till the blob dissapears, i did this on my past vauxhall corsa to good effect.
i wouldnt pay 148 quid to cover a scratch up i can tell you !!!
