Problem after remoaval of central locking fuse - Help Required

You may have seen my other thread detailing problems with the alarm on my wifes mini.

i now think I've isolated the cause, a faulty bonnet closed sensor which has been disconnected. But since removing the c/l fuse (which along with the w/w fuses disables the alarm just in case you were interested) we now have problems with the central locking not working correctly. The locking operates ok when UNlocking using any option the toggle switch, the remote or key in the lock, but refuses to lock the car. nNeither the remote or the toggle do anything and the key only locks the drivers door.

I assume the car has got itself in a confused state and while i've found a couple of other references to this in the forums, the common view seems to be this is design feature to stop people being trapped in the car and should reset itself, its been left overnight and there has been no change and no other suggestions resolutions appear to have been posted.

Can't believe that removing the fuse can stop the locking from working, epscially and the curcuit seems to operate the opposite way to unlock. Can anyone out ther save my wife a trip to the dealership and offer any suggestions?

You never mentioned whether you replaced the c/l fuse and the w/w fuse. I assume that after you disconnected the bonnet switch, you replaced the fuses?

Anyway, I would try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then reconnecting it. If the car is confused as you suspect, that may set things right again.
