 Engine "staggered" noise I recently started noticing a strange "staggered" noise from the engine when I'm highway cruising at constant speed or on the over-run. This only happens at higher speeds but low revs (hence in 5th or 6th gear). Instead of the smooth “Vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr” it now makes more like a “vrrrt..vrrrt…vrrrt…”. For now it’s just an “audio” problem, there’s no hiccup or hesitation when accelerating or any other problem that affects performance. My MCS has 15K miles (24K kms) and it’s still 8000 miles for the next service… Any guesses? Last edited by lusomini; Jun 22nd, 2004 at 09:06 AM.  |
