Look No Keys.............

Has anyone else returned to their mini to find that all doors are unlocked and windows fully wound down. This occured within 10mins on our own drive with all key fobs in another room.

A couple of weeks ago I got back to my car during a particularly bad storm to find the doors unlocked and windows half open. I thought that perhaps water had got in somewhere and shorted a circuit but it hasn't happened since (despite similiar wet conditions). I can only assume I sat on the key fob sometime during the day which held the unlock button in (the car was parked outside my office window). I'm keeping a close eye on the car at the moment!

Thanks for the reply 007,

10 minutes before I noticed the open windows there had been a short, torrential downpour.....so I'll certainly be keeping a weather eye on the car.

Water is finding it's way into your car's body control module. This was common the first couple years of production. Your dealer knows how to fix it and will do so under warranty.
