| Is there a way to empty the coolant tank? A couple of weeks ago, my dad was filling up the windscreen washer fluid in his 52-reg Cooper when he noticed that the coolant tank was completely empty and bone dry. Being the MINI expert of the family, I told him that I'd read about the coolant tank leaking many times before and to call MINI Emergency Service as they'd probably come and replace the tank. He did so, and the man insisted that my dad should try filling the tank up with water and driving around for a few days to see if the level went down. To cut a long story short, the tank has not gone down at all in a couple of weeks, and so whatever the problem was, it's certainly not present anymore. Anyhow, the coolant tank is now filled with water, so is there a way to empty it so it can be filled up with a proper coolant mixture? ![]() 2006 MINI Cooper with JCW Sound Kit - sold July 2009 Now driving Golf VI GT TSI 1.4 160PS |
