Hello!!!
My Minnie is a "53" and has to date 6,060 miles and been treated well! In the last 10 months of owning her she has been back to the dealers about 4 times now for gear problems (and a new power steering pump!). When driving there seems to be a problem with lack of power and she will only do 25 - 30 mph if I am lucky with foot flat out. This produces no lights or anything on dash just the loss of power. If I move over to manual gears it's ok. Mini say there is nothing wrong and even when connected to their computers nothing shows up. Does the Mini have a sort of "self learning" gear box? A friend is an Audi service manager and wonders if this may be the case if someone else has been driving Minnie before me?
Anyone else had this problem??
Also my serivce is due in about 1,900 miles so I seem to have lost about 2,000 miles somewhere....is that right?? I was told that perhaps I am driving the car too hard but then listening to other owners that does not seem to be a problem for them
