Having heard the nightmares of plastic bags and debris getting caught up in the Power Steering fan, I have searched and found a power steering fan cover:
An aftermarket part can only void the warranty on something for which it caused a problem.
The first MINIs had both the power steering and radiator fans on the same circuit. When the power steering fan was jammed by road debris the fuse would blow and the radiator fan would not operate causing the engine to overheat. I believe each fan was given it's own circuit starting with 2003 builds.
Given the possible consequences on my May 2002 build 'S', voiding a warranty didn't enter my mind and I had my dealer install the shroud at the same time they did an oil change.
