Wheel Stuck on MINI- Suggestions

I started driving down the road today and the flat tire monitor chimed and flashed. So I stopped to check the air, and the back right tire was flat, filled it up and drove home cautiously. There's a screw in it... I tried to change the tire, but after getting the lug nuts off, the wheel wouldn't budge. I tried the stuff I knew, wiggling, pulling, etc, but since the car was up on the jack I didn't want to force it too much.

Any ideas? It'll be flat when I the nearest garage is open...

The MINI has different lugs than that which I am used to.

Thanks for the advice.

Make sure the car is safely on jack stands and then hit the inside of the wheel with your foot or a large rubber mallet. I just had a flat on my Dodge Ram and it was a bear to get off because of the rust.

Alternately, loosen the lugs a couple turns & let it down off the jack. A little rocking & Bob's your uncle!

Yep I agree with Bodinski.

Place the lugs back just with a few turns; about half way. Semi gently lower the car through the jack. This should get that stubborn wheel right off.

Be careful and make sure that the lugs are half way in.

Best Regards,
