Electric door mirrors

Has anyone else had trouble with their electric door mirrors? I noticed today that mine won't adjust electrically and the heating element isn't working either (after a 25 minute journey they were still stone cold). As we haven't had any icy weather lately I've not been aware how long the heating element has been out of action so it was only when I tried to move them today that I realised something was up.

I'm taking it back to the dealership (again! - already had a dodgy CD player & faulty ECU) tomorrow morning but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had problems.

Yeah, my drivers door mirror stopped working in the up and down direction before Christmas so I took it into the dealers. They said that some water had got into it and that they had dried it out and it was working again. Sure enough I was back at the dealers theery next month as it had packed up again. This time they replaced the motor. However, on the way home from the dealers I noticed that the mirror didn't demist and when I got home I checked it and it was still stone cold. So it was back to the dealers again, this time they replaced the heated glass.

Thanks for that. I took Mini into the dealers this morning and they took a look at her. Apparently a fuse had blown but every time they replaced it the new one blew as well so it's going back again next Friday for a more thorough check up and to sort the problem out.

The good news though is that they offerd (without prompting)free use of another Mini for the day.

The saga continues...
