clunking noise from rear

seems to come from rear passenger side , doesn't always happen .
any ideas ?

cars been at dealers for 2 days having various things sorted i.e clutch rattle , interior trim rattles and the clunk sorted .
they said the clunk was a heat shield , only driven home 1 mile but all seems well.

This sounds a bit like a problem i suffered a year ago....lets just say that was never cured and the car was rejected. I'll have a look see, if you're interested, for the thread from way back when. Or maybe some smart @rse will find it for me!
