Help with door mirrors!

I had the misfortune of my drivers side door mirror being knocked off my 2002 MCS on the way back from work this evening.

Both the external cover and the glass went flying, and I need to replace both. By the looks of things the 'frame' is undamaged and thankfully the electrics still work. Does anyone know how much a black mirror cover costs, and if it just clips back on easily? I noticed someone has been quoted about £40 for the glass, so I will aim for that price with the dealers.

Also, if I replace them with the chrome or JCW carbon mirror caps, can these go straight on the frame or do the fit over the existing covers?

Well it looks like the JCW carbon mirror covers will be too much, especially as I am thinking of getting another S. The chrome ones are going on instead. Replacing both covers and one mirrior glass come to only about £13 more than having just one black capping and the glass replaced!

The new covers clip on the frame by the way, not onto the existing cover.
