Electrical Probs

Hi All,

I seem to be having a few electrical problems on my 03 Cooper S. Going to work this morning everything was fine. Coming home this evening I noticed the heating panel/console was dead, ie nothing was working and the buttons and climate wasn't lit up. I also noticed the indicator was being alittle erratic. Got home switched engine off. Switched engine back on still no life in the heating controls. Switch engine off and then turn ignition on to second position but don't fire up the engine, heating console lights up and everything working switch engine on and its goes dead again. Do the same again but turn the blower fan up high and fire up engine and it all stays on and is working, however drivers window not working. I left the car for an hour or so gone back and all is working fine. Left it another hour and evrything working except drivers window intill I switched on the Xenons and then the electric window bursts into life!. I've booked the car in for Wed at the dealer, but has anyone else out there had similar problems????. I have done a search and similar probs might be associated with an erratic BCU1 module? I think. Any help greatly appreciated so I can point the dealer in the right direction.

Cheers for any help

The only thing I can suggest is to disconnect the battery, wait half an hour and reconnect it. This will reboot the computers and might solve the problem.
