Odometer reset itself

does any1 have the same problem?

It just reset itself back to zero

If you mean the resettable one, it resets if the battery voltage gets too low. Have you had trouble starting it recently? If so, the voltage might have dipped low enough to reset the mileage.

The one that shows how far the car has gone since new should not reset itself, ever. If it does, it is faulty and you need a new speedo.

yes that's what I meant..
so u reckon I should get a new batterey? or that's what a mini normally does?

I had a couple of hickups when trying to start my car...but not all the time...and it did start at the 2nd try but with the odo back to 0

I unplugged the battery for a little while yesterday...and i havent had any probs since..

let's just see how I go

Mine has done this a few times too. It seems to have started since i swapped my Sony head unit for an Alpine one. I have a small sub and amp too but these have been in the car for at least 18 months.
