 Rattle in rear quarter area fixed after 5 visits to the service dept a small but annoying rattle in the near side (LHS) rear quarter panel area has been diagnosed & fixed. After replacing the rear quarter panel & B Pillar trim didn't work they took the car in again thinking it could be the passenger side window but after stripping out the headliner, rear quarter trim & the entire rear seat (bench & back) they identified an incomplete spot weld on the roof & near the C pillar area. This was causing the 2 body shell pieces to rattle together as resonance within the car increased at speed. the headliner was muffling the sound to some degree making it hard to identify where it was coming from. i'm pleased they found it eventually as these can be almost impossible to diagnose.  |
