Wales Oil leak

The old girly depositied her oil all over the drive on saturday and had to leave on a flat bed truck. Problem was finally attributed to a leaking filter housing and fixed under warranty. Full marks to Radford Mini in Stafford who admired all the non-Mini "extras" on the car and didn't raise any objection to doing everything under warranty

Glad to hear you got things sorted. I have to agree Radford are excellent, had a couple of probs with my S over the past 18 months and they have sorted them all with no probs, very professional and curteous. Good to hear that they are mod friendly, still got my first service to come in July so hoping they won't mind the Eisenmann back boxes and Pipercross filter!

Hi Wibbly,

The Eisenmann sounds great, very refined and fairly quiet. I went for the Factory Sport sound which is supposed to be 3 dba loader than standard although at speed I reckon it sounds quieter. Has a nicer burble at idle, and gives subdued pops when changing from 1st to 2nd. All in all very pleased. I didn't want a noisy system so I'm happy with the result. The next ones up are the Road Sport 6 dba over standard and Race Sport 10 dba. Pics attached when I was having it fitted......

By the way which Eibachs have you got on your S?? are they the Pro Street Coil overs, would be interested to hear your views?

Cheers

The Eibachs are springs only and so far I'm very pleased. Tighter feel although perhaps a bit "skittish" on the limit if the road isn't smooth. Going for a gooning track session at Elvington on 4th June so will report back then although hiring a Caterham Superlight for half the day so should be an interesting comparison

Adam at Radford is usually keen to hear of mods (and track days) and so far as long as not to outrageous they're cool. There was a chap showing off his Pipercross when I picked mine up on Wednesday.
