Apologies if this has been covered before, did a search and only found one thread from 2003 with no resolution...
Does anyone else's rear view mirror vibrate like crazy when you go over the slightest road imperfections? It doesn't make any noise, but when I look at the mirror everything shakes and I can't make out very clearly what is behind me. Everything
appears fastened down properly, but of course there aren't really any exposed fasteners to speak of either
The rest of the car feels properly isolated (at least as isolated as it's going to get on a 2005 Cooper S / 17" S-Lites with run flat tires...) so i don't think it's something as sinister as the suspension... more likely in the mounting of the mirror to the headliner or something.
Is this fixable or just a quirk of the MINI?
(edit: car has 650 miles on the clock, so it's relatively new)
(edit 2: mirrors are standard, not the snazzy auto-dimming variety)
Cheers,
Ben
