Nasty sound coming from—I believe—the wheel(s)

I cannot pinpoint where it comes from exactly, but it comes from under the car—not the engine compartment. It sounds like a 'ding', a metal-hitting-metal sound, maybe. I don't want to be too specific, as my lack of knowledge may mislead in my description.

The sound happens whenever I apply the brakes at a slow speed (around 15-45 mi/h) and whenever I make a right turn. I have been unable to get an alignment since the time I got my M7 springs installed, but it will be aligned tomorrow, after Terry Sayther installs the new lower control arms (to rid it of the dangerous rear bowing) and rear Alta anti-roll bar.

The springs have been on for a rather long time now.

I absolutely loathe putting up with the local Mini Center and their lack of empathetic helpfulness, so I come to you first.
