Unhappy My Mini Got Keyed

Hi,

My Mini One got keyed a couple of weeks ago in Nottingham, where I go to University. There are three scratches on the passenger door, one of which was done very forcefully, causing a small dent.

I am now back in London and need to get the car repaired. If anyone reading this message lives in London and knows of a good company that can make the door look new again, please let me know. I don't want to go to a Mini garage as I am sure they will charge hundreds of pounds.

Thanks.

Hi Goonery,

Thanks for the reply. I spoke to Chips Away earlier today. After e-mailing some photos of the damage, I was told that they can only repair the scratches, but not the dent. I saw someone last week who said the same thing, and that, once the scratches are removed, the dent will be much more noticeable. I would rather get both jobs done at once if possible.

Hmm, dents are a different issue, if they are deepish, then you need a full bodyshop to get at the rear of the panels. I do know of some body repairers in London who do a good job but its likely to be expensive, not as expensive as MINI dealer rates though..
I'll get some details posted up

Thanks Goonery. Contact details for some good bodyshops in London would be great. I'm located in North-West London, but don't mind going somewhere that isn't local, as long as it isn't too far.

Over here, many folks have been pleased with Dent Wizard. They list a UK location, not sure how convenient they are to you. Also, many MINI dealers have a hook up with Dent Wizard.

Hi Aqualung. Unfortunately they are only located in Telford, which is two hours from where I live. Do you know of anywhere closer

chipaway

I used them in the past for a dent right in the middle of the drivers door so I am not sure why they cant do the dent. They filled it and resprayed it in about 1.5 hours it was perfect.

Cheers

Jeff
