possessed!

I have a 2004 Mini one, and lately its been doing some odd things. The brake lights seem to stay on, and I only find out when somebody knocks on my door saying I've left the lights on. If I press the key fob they go off. The windows have started to drop when they feel like it, usually on a rainy day. Lastly when I stop the car, sometimes the needle of the speed dial, jumps about with a life of its own! None of these problems has a regular pattern, and I can go for weeks with the car behaving itself.

Any suggestions?

South Africa OBC Wet

Definitely sounds like the OBC is getting wet. I've had a similar thing happen to me, but it was fixed as a recall item. The problem was explained as the connector to the OBC which faces up and sits at the bottom of the right A pillar collecting with water that drains down the A pillar. Seal the connection and you should be fine.

The windows open as part of a safety feature that would have the windows open if the computer got wet eg. you drove into a lake. By doing this you are able to escape and not drown.

I had the Brake light issue 2 when security kept phoning me up saying my brakes were on!
It's a Dealer fix as apparantly some batches of Brake switches were faulty-Mine has been replaced-all ok now

Thanks - i have rang up the dealer and they booked it in for Thursday, which was quite quick for them. They are keeping it all day, so hopefully should be sorted out.
