Smelly Cold Air

Hello

I have Mini One with manual a/c (nov 04 build)

a couple of months ago, noticed the cold fresh air supply was starting to smell. (This is the fresh air only, the A/C and recirc air are ok)

whenever i put the fresh air on cold it is anything but fresh. It feels humid and smells musty.

like I said, the A/C is fine, as is the recirc air. The dealer says he cant find anything (although, typically the smell did 'fade' in the week upto the 10k service, but has now returned)

Any ideas?

sounds like the vent system needs flushing with an air-con cleaner kit. when the air con is on it will dry out any mould, its only when you turn the air con off & the mould gets damp that you get the smell. you can buy kits & do it yourself

You could try running the heater at full pelt inc blowers which does help.
