HELP I Can't Open The Convertible Top! I think it is broken!!!

I had someone tinting the windows today and when I opened the top for him to have access to the small rear windows I stopped the process of opening the top midway through because the front windows started to go down and the front windows were already finished. Then I closed it again.
A couple minutes later I tried to completely open the convertible. My sunroof function still works and both the front and rear windows work. But after the sunroof opens and the roof is supposed to open the red LED on the button flashes quickly and nothing happens. I checked all the fuses and let the car sit for thirty minutes in case of a overheated roof motor. Still nothing.
Please anyone have any ideas on possible fixes? There is no dealer in my city and driving two hours to Toronto just isn't on my list of things I want to do this week.

Is it very hot where you are at the moment? The only time I've seen or heard of this problem has been when the sensor in the mid section of the roof gets very hot, so it "thinks" it has overheated and it wont open to protect itself. In actual fact, it's just got too hot in direct sunlight.

Might not be the case here, but if it is, try driving it around for a while and/or let it cool down, and see if it works.

Forgot about the possible boot problem too, I experienced this with a press car, most frustrating!

Was it the cover in the boot? There is a small switch in it and protects the conv. top from breaking if you have to much luggage in the boot (or the cover from breaking when it´s in the upper position).
