Central Locking Toggle Switch Not Unlocking

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before. The Central locking on my 02MCS is doing strange things.

The remote ket works fine, does everything it should do, when driving away it locks itself at 12mph as usual, but the central locking toggel switch will not unlock the doors or boot. Also every so often the car will unlock itself whilst im driving along. I can use the switch to lock it again but it unlocks again a few minutes later.
Rarely the switch seems to work again but not for very long.
At first I thought the it was a problem with the switch but as it still locks all the time with the switch, and the unlocking is done randomly by itself I am not sure now. The car is just out of warrenty and I dont wanna be spending alot of money on it.

Any ideas? anyone else had this problem.

Not heard of this problem before but it could be worth resetting the Body Control Unit processer.

To do this, disconnect the battery, wait about 30 minutes and then reconnect it. This will "reboot" the computers and might cure the problem.

It has been known to cure many strange electrical phenomena.
