My car locks me in :( or is it :)

Well this problem just one day started oll of as udden. You all know how if the car is locked, it is one pull on the handle to unlock, a second to open. Well now, i can pull as many times as i want and it will not open, it just unlocks every time. Only driver door, not passenger. I have to take the key and hit unlock or on the dash hit the unlock to get out.
Anyanswers as to what happend?

It's just weird casue it literally just started happening one day.
