Hi mate - REALLY easy

Follow these instructions - you'll figure out which bits you need

You just pull and it comes off. Its the only way to get it off. Its really easy - once you do it, you'll wonder what you made a fuss about

But its not really hard... pretty simple to do, a very easy mod. I'd rate the difficulty of it as the same as replacing your gear knob!

Which handbrake lever did you end up going with?

You just pull it straight out. It might be a bit stiff, but just give it a bit of force - even if you brake it, its only a $15 part (but you won't brake it!)

If its too hard for ya, give me the handbrake lever
