Scotland aux input connector

hi,

hate to bring this topic up again but here goes...

I have a 2003 mc with the single cd boost head unit, no changer, i'd like to connect a ipod up but as cheap as possible, looked at the itrip but i wana get an ipod nano. As far as i'm aware there are lots and lots of opitons. I want it a cheap as possible so just a 3.5mm headphone jack aux would be cool. Anyone know where i can get one of these? how much??

cheers

Just get the regular mini aux connector, from any mini dealer's parts dept. It's very cheap and plugs in in a minute.

Sounds like the best solution.

It is illegal to use the iTrip in the UK because it transmits in the FM broadcast band.

Technically yes it is illegal, but as an ex-pat I see more English in the Apple Store here in Boston buying them that locals. Could also be because the US dollar is so weak right now, making this stuff practically free for tourists ...

I believe they are widely used over here and available for peanuts at car boot sales and on Ebay.

Nonetheless, their use is against the law.

I'd be pretty miffed if someone drew up alongside me and their music appeared on my radio.

There are several other brands which are not iPod specific and ought to work with the Nano. Like the iTrip they plug into the headphone jack, but they use batteries for power rather than the iPod. I have an iTrip, but if I was going to do the FM thing again I'd get one of the new charger/transmiters which plug into the docking port.
