Additional interior/accent lighting

I fancy installing some additional interior/accent lighting, nothing over the top, just something subtle. How feasible would it be to wire a strip of LEDs into the car, to come on with the sidelights... or possibly the courtesy lights?

Any help (preferably in layman's terms) would be appreciated.

What's involved in tapping into the dash light feed? I notice the kit on your site contains a set of four - can each of these be individually tapped into the back of the radio? What tools are required?

Thanks for your help.

I just extended the wires on each led & attached to the bnack of the radio.
If you dont wish to splice the factory radio you can use one of our power take off kits

Very simple to do really. LEDs draw almost no power so you don't have to worry much about what you tapping into. You do need to remember to put a resistor in line with the LED or else it will act as a short circuit.

Maplin electronics sell all you will need for interior and accent lighting, if you can use a soldering iron you could make up all your accent lighting for approx £10 the lot. Maplin will supply 12 volt LED's (no need for resistors) in any colour. You could follow instruction from this web site http://www.oznium.com/forum/topic20. Follow instructions of how to dismantle the interior of your mini from the search on this site. EASY !!!!!!!!! Good Luck
