New Ipod Video - MINI Cooper Forum

Anyone know a way of connecting the new ipod video up to the standard BOOST headunit and having a cradle that goes onto the side of the headunit like mikeythemini sells becuase I want the videos playing so it looks cool in my mini one!!!!

it should connect just as the previous ipods with the dock connector. Since they are not widely available yet (they probably are being shipped now) I don't know if it can access the video files using icelink or the OEM ipod connection ... at least playing the audio of video through the speakers would be cool... but not very safe i would think. My guess is that it will not access the video files while connected to the car.

SO,,,, Do you think they will develop a video update and a cradle soon???
I am probably best with a nano aren't I, to save all the fuss. I just thought it would look cool if you get me!

Wouldnt it be cool to watch music videos on iPod with music coming through Boost!

Hope icelink will develop something for it.

Hi,

Mt wife has just swaped her mini for a nano and it works fine, don't know about the cradle though as we have it in the glovebox

I have an Ipod video being shipped now, should be able to report on the OEM interface soon.

Wish it would play videos through my OEM Nav.

Got my 5g ipod (30gig) today ... seems to work fine with the OEM kit, just as well as my mini iPod did. Hoorah!
