Backs of the seats

Does anyone have a problem with marks/scatches the backs of the seats? I've noticed that they scatch very easily and there doesn't seem to be a way of getting rid of them once they are there!! Anyone with the same problem and/or a solution?

Same problem here... it seems like the interior plastic in the MINI is quite soft.

I think companies that do stone chip repairs etc can fix them...

Agree. The surface is too fragile, even for carrying luggage. I purchased a rubber-backed blanket to protect the surface when the seats are down. But I still wouldn't place anything heavy on it. The seatbacks on my Grand Cherokee seem much more durable.

Halfords sell a bumper repair/renewal kit and there's no reason why you can't use this. Erm, although it's probably too much hassle to mask off the interior. You could use a bumper shine/back to black spray to help give the plastic colouring more depth and this helps to avoid the high contrast of the scratches.

Only solution is to be extra careful and ban all kids and gangly adults.

I agree with the plastic scratching really easy. Has anyoner else noticed the painted bits that arent covered in lacker tend to scratch really easy. I.e the sides of the centre console.

Yes, outside rear passenger armrests are simlarly soft. Scratched one with a toddler stroller... It looks cracked but it is just scratched.
