OK, here is the deal. I know that here in Germany, they have traffic in radio. So, I set my HU back to Europe and I am getting the reports. Also, I downgraded and upgraded my NAV to get it back to Europe mode and remove the annoying "click here to use" screen. My goal is to try and get the traffic icons to display on the map. My neighbors 3 series will do it and I know that we both have the same nav. Do you know if our MINIs are wired for this? If not, how does the Nav get that info? I found the telelmetrics menu on the Nav and thought that might be it, but wasn't sure. I was hoping that you would know.

I think its only 05 minis that have TMC, you also need a disc with tmc coding & in the UK the radio must be tuned to classic fm - I dont know what channel they use in Germany

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you get traffic icons when you are not getting directions (map mode only) or is it only during directions? I know these questions sound weird, but I'm pretty sure that I am getting closer. I have the traffic menu on the NAV now and I think that with Traffic turned on and directions on, it will work. I just don't desire to seek out a traffic jam to test it yet. :P

FYI, my MINI is an 06.
